Community Programs

  • Good Neighbor Program – The GOOD NEIGHBOR PROGRAM is designed to help low-income senior citizens age 65 and older, low-income families with children under the age of five, and disabled persons living independently during the peak heating and cooling months of the year when the need is greatest.
  • Change for Change – A program allowing utility customers to support services for the homeless.
  • Facility Tours – Come see how your utilities work.
  • Helping Hands – This courtesy service is provided to our Solid Waste customers who are physically unable to roll containers to the curb.

  • Eastern Transmission Line Project – The Eastern Transmission line is being built in order to help increase electric reliability in the eastern part of Tallahassee, where development has outpaced construction of electric transmission lines and substations, creating a reliability concern.
  • Integrated Resource Planning Project – Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) is a recurring effort undertaken by the City’s Electric Utility to identify the preferred mix of supply and demand-side resources that will meet projected customer demand, provide service reliability and resource diversity at the lowest possible cost.
